The map below shows England, Wales and the south of Scotland, with county and Watsonian vice-county boundaries marked. Each block indicates a randomly selected 10km square and some are outside the recognised distribution range of the White-letter Hairstreak

Remember, these squares are completely random, so we have absolutely no idea of the habitat, and it's quite possible that several 1km squares might be in the middle of a lake or on the top of a mountain!
