Information: During last winter, new glades were cut along the streams and rides of Broxbourne Wood. The area is already part of Hertfordshire's only National Nature Reserve but this will make the site even better for plants and wildlife in due course. Information: A walk through Bencroft and Wormley Wood with branch expert Steve Kiln to look for White Admiral and other butterflies along the woodland rides and in adjacent grassy fields. Find out about the habitat management that goes on in these woodland areas to benefit butterflies and other wildlife. Some sections of the walk are quite steep and can be quite muddy. Please bring money if you wish to stop for refreshments at the pub afterwards.

Information: From the roundabout at junction 6 on the M1, take the slip road signed M1 south. Take the left turn halfway along this road (Mount Pleasant Lane), do not join the motorway. After a few twists & turns after about a mile you pass under a railway bridge. Continue along the road which bends sharply to the left. Pass Bricket Wood Station and the parish centre car park is on your right just after the junction with Drop Lane.

Directions: From the A120 between Bishops Stortford and Puckeridge. Turn north at the Little Hadham traffic lights and follow the road for approx 2 miles. Take the small right hand turn next to the Catherine Wheel PH and follow for approx half a mile.
Information: A chance to be shown the butterflies and wildlife of this important HMWT Reserve. Patmore Heath is one of the few remaining remnants of acid grass heathland left in Hertfordshire and Middlesex.
